چکیده

Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system have the potential to achieve very high capacity depending on the propagation environment. The objective of this paper resource allocation on LTE using is the adaptive resource allocation in MIMOOFDM system using the water filling algorithm. Water filling solution is implemented for allocating the power in order to decrease the channel capacity for power consumption. An LTE-Advanced cooperative cellular network where a Type II relay station (RS) is deployed to enhance the cell-edge throughput and to extend the coverage area. To better exploit the existing resources, the RS and the eNodeB (eNB) transmit in the same channel (In-Band) with decodeand-forward relaying strategy. For such a network, this paper proposes joint Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) subcarrier and power allocation schemes to optimize the downlink multi-user transmission efficiency.

Optimal Power Management to Minimize SER in Amplify and-Forward Relay Networks

This paper studies optimal power allocation to minimize symbol error rate (SER) of amplify-and-forward cooperative diversity networks. First, we analytically solve optimal power allocation problem to minimize SER for three different scenarios, namely, multi-branch single-relay, single-branch multi-relay and multi-branch multi-relay cooperative diversity networks, all subject to a given total re...

Cooperative resource management and power allocation for multiuser OFDMA networks

Mobile network operators are facing the challenge to increase network capacity and satisfy the growth in data traffic demands. In this context, Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks, LTE-Advanced networks, and future mobile networks of the Fifth Generation seek to maximize spectrum profitability by choosing the frequency reuse-1 model. Due to this frequency usage model, advanced radio resource man...

QoS-Oriented Mode, Spectrum, and Power Allocation for D2D Communication Underlaying LTE-A Network

This paper investigates the problem of resource allocation for Device-to-Device (D2D) Communication in a Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) network. The users in the network can operate either in a traditional cellular mode communicating with each other via the eNB, or in D2D mode communicating with each other without traversing the eNB. In the cons...

Power-Minimizing Resource Allocation in Multiuser Cooperative Relay Communications

In this paper, we investigate the power-minimizing resource allocation problem in multiuser cooperative relay communication systems. A joint optimization problem involving subcarrier assignment, relay selection and power allocation is formulated. Since the problem cannot be solved directly, we decompose it into three subproblems. According to the equivalent channel gains and the target rates of...
